I had to write a paper on Nociceptive Pain this morning and I just wanted to share this website – PainBalance.org – with you all. It was super helpful in helping me put all the information together so that I could write it up quickly and give my presentation later this afternoon. I had no idea that the neurophysiologic underpinnings of pain could be divided into four stages: transduction, transmission, pain modulation, and perception, but now I know just about everything about Nociceptive Pain!!! Nurses really need to be stonger and more vocal. This is a policy that will affect us and it is time something is done about the current state of health care. As far as BSN goes I have a Diploma in nursing , and is currently pursuing my BSN. I admit the nurses that have an ADN, or Diploma are more hands on and ready to work. Usually the BSN nurses are not as prepared to do bedside nursing but are more prepared for administrative roles.

Nurses don't have a seat at the health care table because we weren't invited. We are the largest number of healthcare workers and we sit back and do nothing. The nurse t patient ratio in FL is horrible. Also to comment on the nurses with BSN degree giving better care in the other article...well in my 17 years an an RN from an ASN program, I don't see it. The ASN get more clinical and hands on and I have seen nurses come in to the hospitlas from both and the two year, considering all things equal, are more ready and able. I don't need to statistics and book knowledge, I need the hands on. KT in FL.
